Thank goodness for Netflix. There are a lot of good TV mini-series and local and Hollywood movies as well there. What's more is that you can watch it mobile: on your phone, tablet or laptop. All you need is a reliable broadband. Since we don't have the luxury of having Smart TVs, I'd prefer to watch it via mobile phone. In fact, I'd prefer to watch it via my Samsung J2 pro for the Amoled display. There are a lot of stuff to watch in Netflix both for the young, and the young-at-heart. For me, here are my top picks (in other words, highly recommended):
TV series:
The Assassination of Gianni Versace
Fantastic. It showed the events that transpired before Versace was gunned-down by Andrew Cunanan. It showed how Cunanan came to be a 'spree' killer. It showed Versace's passion that drove his brand to be an empire. It's R16 for Sex, Violence and Language. The cast portrayals are great.
American Horror Story:
This series has it's up and downs. But so far, as I've caught up with four seasons already, it's really a great series. My favorite has to be seasons: 1-3. Season 4 not quite since I think the story-line and plot is poor as compared to its predecessors. I still have to continue with the remainder of the seasons as well.
TV documentary:
The Minimalist
An eye-opener. It just goes to show how we can live without being too commercial. It's anti-commercial. In fact, it teaches you to live with just your needs and not to buy stuff that you'd just want.
Movies:
Tons of old, and not-so-old movies to one's delight. So, basically you have to choose your pick.
I am thankful that bro has just an extra account that he lent me. So, basically I am using Netflix for free. Kudos to Netflix, and I hope there will be more selections / catalogues to be added in the near future.
