Tell-tale Memes and Jokes: Sell a Kidney for a new Iphone (Iphone 13)

Every I don't exactly know and am not sure when, apple releases a new variation of the iPhone which you don't specifically know the difference between the last variant honestly. Now they already have the iPhone 13 variant and its quite hefty for the highest end costing a whopping P100K +

Don't get me wrong. I own an Iphone because eversince I am an iphone user and functionality-wise, between an android, I just find the Iphone much easier to use and navigate. Android seems to be lacking in terms of organization which apple definitely has in their iphones.

But, would I updgrade to a much expensive flagship release which has tons of features which I am not exactly familiar with? basically, the features that I love in an iphone is just Imessage, Facetime, cameras (back and selfie). But do I need a phone with cinematic features and tons of zoom? Not really. Maybe for vloggers it might come in handy but not for me. I still have my trusty Iphone 6S+ and still updgraded with the IoS15 and it still works for me.

I can still instagram, facebook, twitter without a glitch. The displays are still good. I can do online shopping and do e-payments and bank transactions using this phone without any hassle. And what's good is that I got this for almost 2 years from my provider on contract for almost 2 years. Though battery life is really not ideal with the Iphone 6S. It drains much rather fast.

Truth be told, I am already eligible to apply for a retention with my provider and am about to get maybe an iphone XR with a little cashout on top of myplan. But there is also an offer to have it paid in installment on top of my monthly bill. But really not a bank breaker because the phone is already 2 years old and still getting good reviews up to this year. Well, the phone is no longer sold in the apple website so maybe they are just already disposing of the existing units and no intention by apple to manufacture more during this time. But regardless, as long as it's still eligible for IoS updates in the near future, then I am more than OK to go with it.

Teambuilding in Subic

The week before, I joined my co-employees for a team-building sessions in subic bay freeport zone. It was fun coz it was really the first time that me and my officemates are sheltered in one roof for 4-days and 3-nights. It was fun, wacky, dramatic, and scary. I really like the staff house we lived at. It was cozy, comfortable, but haunted (?). The staff house is an remodeled ranking-officer's home way when subic was still owned by the US Navy, rumors has it that the house a block away from where we stayed was haunted by that ghost of an african-american man. Well, some of the officemates can attest that they experienced it, but not me. I liked the ambiance and environment in subic but truth be told, I wasn't thrilled by it anymore. It still has the same sights as compared to the last time i was there, with not much changes. Well, had been there a number of times years back. And the beach, well, it still is clean but itchy. I dunno what about the seawater there that is itchy. ...

It's time everyone flies...but with Cebu Pacific? Not anymore...

I am going to set this one straight...this has been Cebu Pacific's catch phrase for their air transportation services, "Cebu Pacific Air - It's time everyone (every Filipino) flies". I would like to share this horror experiences I encountered with Cebu Pacific, from ticketing up to actual date of departure. So here goes the story: It was January 9, 2008 that I decided to book a flight for 7 PAX to Puerto Princesa. I booked via their Customer Service Hotline Number. I was booked for a roundtrip ticket from MNL - Puerto Princesa and vice versa. I was given a confirmation day on January 12, 2008 on/before 3:00 PM. Ticket fare is P4,515 per head. Came January 12, 2008, a Saturday - I made my way to their ticketing office in Robinson's place, Manila to confirm booking and pay for the tickets. It was a rainy Saturday and I wasn't able to get on time (before 3:00 PM), but fortunately, I was able to have the confirmation time extended upon informing the Ticketing Agen...

Grab a Taxi vs. Easy Taxi

...and the winner is... Grab a Taxi. I am not really much of a taxi-person. But when circumstances arise that I need to hail one, I prefer to use the free apps from my phone: Grab a Taxi and Easy Taxi. To be fair, I have used Grab a taxi much more than Easy taxi. Have used grab a taxi in Kuala Lumpur and it also has its peak periods where getting a taxi really takes time. Maybe it was the location of pick-up that makes it harder there. But here in Manila, I have no problems using the Grab a Taxi taxi app. Well, there are glitches during peak hours but nevertheless, you are assured that you will get one. But again, it's in your luck if you get one quickly. And what's important is that you can give a feedback if ever you got a cabbie that irked you (example: confirmed to pick you up but never arrived). I prefer to use these apps because I feel much safer to use them than hailing one that passes-by the streets. There are lots of modus operandis that pry on anyone but thet pr...
