Keeping your sanity during this pandemic

When the pandemic started and the lockdowns were supposed to start, I haven’t had the idea of how long it will take for the lockdown and up to when the WFH arrangements will last. Somehow I thought that the privilege of working at home sounds cool since you’re just earning your keep whilst doing it at the comfort of your own home. Sounds cool right? No more long early morning rush hours to go to office. No early morning wake ups just to rush and head out to the office. This is truly ideal.

However, the 1st year of pandemic really hit hard on the economy. Many businesses closed down because the business(es) were affected badly by the lockdowns. I for one lost my job mid of the year because projects had to push back and down-size. It was really stressful since the thought of how you’re going to survive with a lot of businesses and companies affected?

Thankfully, my line of work is still very marketable. The 1st day of my employ was after the new year of 2021 and it’s still into the WFH arrangement. What’s weird was that the arrangement was quite different from the previous work was that I was able to physically interact with my colleagues. With this one, everything started and remains virtual. Google meet is really everything within the day. Communicating with your colleagues will be sometimes a hassle if there’s an unreliable internet connection, or worse, power interruption.

You really opt not to get out to breathe just to have outside air to destress. You’re just confined in your own personal workspace, and nothing else. Burnout is real. Expectations are much, much more since you work at the comfort of your home. This really has an impact on your over-all mental health.

To make the long story short, what can you do to keep your sanity during this pandemic and WFH burnout?

1.  No Friday after-office night-out with colleagues and friends mean spending much much time with family. Make sure they’re safe from illnesses.

2.  Do one thing that you love each day that makes you steer away from burnout. I do twitter and blogging.

3. Make your own coffee or cappuccino. Something to reward yourself with. No need to go to Starbucks.

4. Do shoppee and lazada only on what you need. Not necessarily on what you want.

5. Attend online masses. Pray. Pray the rosary for protection. God's guidance helps in keeping you sane.

6. Have a sense of humor with the people around. Sometimes a good laugh even though you have quite a number of things in mind helps ease down our worries and problems.

7.  Eat your favorite food but do not indulge. Too much of anything is bad.

8. Go out but not to be mingling or socializing. Go out to do your errands like head to the pharmacy or grocery to buy your stuff.

9. Play your favorite phone games.

10. Read your favorite book.

11. Sleep well and sleep on-time.

12. Wake-up early and start the day fresh.

13. Do some light indoor exercises.

at least these works for me. K bye!

Painful experience of letting-go and moving-on...

Yesterday evening was one of the biggest blows in my life. My girlfriend for almost five years and I called it quits . But it was rather an unforgettable experience, quite having me to pass-on sleeping last night. She broke up with me through text. At first, I was shocked because we were together at church a couple of hours earlier. With me having to pass staying afterwards at their place because I have an important function to attend later that night. She texted me a couple of hours later as I was in the middle of being merry during the event, It goes like, "she loves me very much but she couldn't deal with the hurt I am giving her by not reciprocating my love to her. She has no expectations whatsoever, given the fact that she can't push me to do that and she learned to accept me for who I am, but there are things that she wants that I cannot provide and that we can not be happy moving forward since we obviously have a problem". I was distraught. I did not know what

It's time everyone flies...but with Cebu Pacific? Not anymore...

I am going to set this one straight...this has been Cebu Pacific's catch phrase for their air transportation services, "Cebu Pacific Air - It's time everyone (every Filipino) flies". I would like to share this horror experiences I encountered with Cebu Pacific, from ticketing up to actual date of departure. So here goes the story: It was January 9, 2008 that I decided to book a flight for 7 PAX to Puerto Princesa. I booked via their Customer Service Hotline Number. I was booked for a roundtrip ticket from MNL - Puerto Princesa and vice versa. I was given a confirmation day on January 12, 2008 on/before 3:00 PM. Ticket fare is P4,515 per head. Came January 12, 2008, a Saturday - I made my way to their ticketing office in Robinson's place, Manila to confirm booking and pay for the tickets. It was a rainy Saturday and I wasn't able to get on time (before 3:00 PM), but fortunately, I was able to have the confirmation time extended upon informing the Ticketing Agen

logitech bluetooth keyboard

I am so happy with this quite-pricey purchase of mine back in SG~the bluetooth keyboard for the ipad2. I find this device quite handy especially for me who likes to utilize the ipad for other things than gaming. It comes in very handy especially when composing emails and doing blog posts using the ipad. Connectivity and range of the bluetooth is very, very superior. Plus, this also doubles as a magnetic cover for the ipad when not in use. Got this device at around S$125 nett of discounts and GST. This also doubles as a casing for the ipad when not in use, and portable and handy that you can bring it anywhere you'd like to carry your ipad. I am pretty-sure that this will also work with other bluetooth-enabled devices like mobile phones and tablets. However, the casing and slot to hold only works for the ipad and hopefully, the iphone 5. When I saw this device over an electronics shop in SG, I never had second-thoughts of purchasing this. Thanks to the mastercard, the purchase was
